OVERVIEW:

Seawatch is a multistoried complex containing mostly two-bedroom units sleeping up to six people. The resort is just two blocks from the beach along the calm water of an inlet. The units are all fully equipped in a Hollywood open-concept living, dining and kitchen area. (Some with microwave oven). The 3 bedroom, 2 1/2 bath penthouse unit sleeps 8 people and boasts a spectacular view of Murrell's Inlet.

HOW TO GET THERE:

Many traveler's prefer to drive to the Myrtle Beach area using either Highways I-95 and 501 and thence south on 17 to Atlantic Avenue in Garden City, or I-77 (look for the shortcut at Simpson, North of Columbia), I-20 and 501 as above.

TO HELP YOU FURTHER:

If you travel by car, stop at any state line in order to find out the location of local historic mansions or state attractions in which you might be interested. For example, Columbia has the Riverbanks Zoological Gardens. Plan your trip well and you will increase your enjoyment. Don't forget to pick up a local map and entertainment guide. If you are a member of AAA or CAA, ask them for a "trip map".

2 Bedroom/1 bath units can sleep six, however we recommend no more than two adults and two children for maximum comfort as there is only one bathroom.

OUTSTANDING EXPERIENCES:

Within one block from the resort you will find a first class restaurant and snack bars. A few minutes drive and you will have a number of excellent restaurants, each with its own ambience and many with a water view.

During a short walk on the beach and thence to the pier, you will see people enjoying "Hugo" burgers and ale, people fishing for flounder and BBQ pits in which the freshly caught fish are cooked. If you prefer, there is a fresh seafood market within five minutes by car.

The Myrtle Beach area is a golfers' paradise. Ask the friendly staff at Seawatch for a list of the exceptional golf courses at which you will enjoy special rates.* (see below for list)

Even though there are miles of beaches and a large number of restaurants, there is a growing number of family oriented entertainment centers. The group, Alabama, performs in their own theater as do Dolly Parton and the Gatlin Brothers. There are many more such attractions available.

Theme restaurants such as the Nascar Café or the venerable Hard Rock Café are popular. There is even a children's park (Surf Side Beach) designed without barriers so all children, regardless of abilities, can enjoy themselves.

Shoppers will love the many discount malls and specialty stores for hours of bargain hunting. Don't miss Barefoot Landing a beautiful shopping factility with restaurants and entertainmnet located right on the water.
